Drupal Modules

I have actually ben surprising myself lately! I have been figuring things out, (slowly, but surely)...and have actually come a long way from where I was a week ago. I found that Ashley's presentation in particular has helped me, because I could not figure out how to change my slide show! I have finally changed it, and it looks great! I was even more pumped that I was able to figure out the differences between our themes, because the steps in changing the slideshows were slightly different. I did not even ask Joel for help!

I have been downloading the required modules for class, but as of right now they do not do anything. But I did download a gallery module. I found out that in order for the module to work, I had to download another one as well. I am still having trouble getting the gallery to come up anywhere on my site, so my goal this week is to find some sort of tutorial that will be able to show me how it works. If everything turns out then I would love to share what I have learned with the class!

SPRING BREAK!

This week has been much needed. I came into my last semester at Shepherd thinking that I would be able to breeze through the semester. I was wayyyyy wrong! Although I am taking less credits then I usually take, (15), I have been feeling so overwhelmed. Almost like a chicken with my head cut off! I feel like I just cannot keep up with everything that is going on around me :/ but, I shall prevail!! There are only about 9 weeks left in the semester and I intend on ending strong!

This week has really been a break week for me, although I did take time to complete something that I should have completed a little earlier. I finished up my final plan for the my senior capstone project and re-turned that in. I had to revamp the bibliography and add some more information on there. I am glad I do not have that hanging over my head any longer!

I feel like I am beginning to catch up with all of my blogs, and everything that is going on around me. Next week I will get back into the swing of things for my photography blog, and catch up on anything I am behind on.

The week of March 7

This last week has been a makeup week for me. I had gotten a little behind and needed a boost to get back into the swing of things. While I was at work, I worked on the layout of my blog on Wordpress because I want it to look appealing. I also made up some blogs that I was behind on. I was able to get caught up. This week I learned about for images started conveying motion, in the 1800's and how that has evolved over time. The first image was of a horse that captured him running and getting all four hooves off the ground!

Also this week I have been preparing for a job interview that I have on Thursday. It is at Prettyman Broadcasting in Martinsburg, and I have been preparing my resume all week! I am not really sure what the job is for because she did not specify, but I am extremely excited to get some interview experience!

Capstone Progress Last Week of February

During this last week of February, I plan on continuing my blog. I found a new topic that I am interested in and it is called Iconology. It talks about different images and their meaning and I want to explore this topic in relation to semiotics. There has to be some difference between the two. I am also continually looking for images to use. This week I will also start planning what my board looks like for my presentation. I have an idea for the image that I want on the board, and I am going to print a huge photo and paste it on the board so that there is a background image.
