Capstone Progress

For the week of February 21, I have been working on researching my blog topic, and have learned more about semiotics. I have been looking for photographs that I will be able to use in my blog that I feel hold meaning. I have also been trying to come up with my own photos that I will be able to compare in my blog.

Capstone Progress

After meeting with my advisor, I realized that even though I thought I had everything worked out for my senior capstone project, that I really needed to sort out some things. We reviewed my proposal and we there were a few edits that I need to work on. Instead of using the Blogger website to create my blog, I am actually going to use Word Press. I have used this site before in another web design class I took, and really enjoyed it. My blog will look more professional using this tool, even though I love Blogger for my other blogs. I have been continuing to take my own photos for use in my blog. I also have created a schedule that i will follow throughout the semester in order to complete all of my tasks in a timely manner.

Capstone Research

This week for my capstone blog I have been researching different pictures that I would like to tear apart for my blog. The ones I have chosen so far have been portraits that have strong messages behind them. With these photos, I will be able to easily dive into the semiotics of the photos in order to really pick apart the real meanings of the photos. Along with finding these photos, I have continued to shoot my own photography to compare to the iconic pieces I choose.
